Perhaps it takes courage to raise children. -John Steinbeck

Parent Coaching: Feeling stuck with what to do about a kids behavior and need some help? I work with parents and grown-ups using an approach based in connection and limits. Giving you the tools and confidence to emotionally rise above unexpected situations with your kids. Parent Coaching can also go beyond just the parent. A Kid’s Village is at the core of helping them succeed and can include grandparents, babysitters, nannies, day care providers, teachers and beyond. These services can be provided in person, in the community, Zoom, or telephone.
Early Childhood Education Classes: “Got Kids?” A series of 6 classes offered to parents, educators, grandparents, babysitters, nannies or anyone who works, lives or loves kids, to support their knowledge of Early Childhood concepts. Grown-ups play an important role in kids’ lives and these classes offer insight in how to make the best of that role. The classes cover topics related to Self-Regulation, Attachment, Brain Development, Emotion Coaching, Setting Limits and Having Fun With Our Kids.
Reflective Practice Facilitation: Reflecting on our role, interactions and perceptions of the children and families in our care is essential. Reflective Practice provides a space to pause and think about our experiences, beliefs, response and goals in our work. Allowing this information to inform our approach, presence within it and skill development.
Consultation: Early relationships matter, no matter who they are with. Keeping child care centers, day cares, schools, nannies and babysitters informed with up-to-date research about early childhood mental health will benefit care-providers, children and parents alike. I provide educational seminars regarding early childhood mental health, building strong teacher/child relationships, teacher/parent relationships and behavior consultation to give support persons researched informed information to use in their care settings.
